Today on Mantis Discussion we have Ben Adams, Spatial Sound Mixer. Ben has one of the coolest jobs in sound. His profession involves recording and streaming Spatial Audio (Virtual Reality Sound) for concerts and events!
Some of the artists he has worked with are Billie Eilish, Arcade Fire, Coldplay, U2, Muse, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Major Lazer, Maluma, and Tenacious D, while sprinking in some of the biggest music festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, SXSW, Sundance and many others.
What is Spatial Audio you ask? It is a technology that has been around in sound for a while apparantly, but only now is being utilized in these exciting ways!
Please help me welcome Ben Adams to this episode of Mantis Discussion. This is a LIVE SESSION, which means you can ask all the questions you want! Get them in and learn from one of the masters in this field.
We are also excited to announce Ben Adams is officially a mentor on Video Mantis now! We have a course and seminar coming out soon, called “Spatial Audio for VR” which will get anyone who is new to Spatial Audio off the ground and running.
